Dawn Gibbins MBE invited by Vince Cable to become member of Government’s Entrepreneurs' Forum

Business Secretary Vince Cable has announced a new Entrepreneurs' Forum to advise the Coalition Government on new business and enterprise policies.

Dawn Gibbins has accepted an invitation to join up to 25 other leading entrepreneurs, including James Caan, of the Dragon’s Den, Baroness Margaret Ford, Chair of the Olympic Park Legacy Company, and Sarah Tremellen, founder of Bravissimo. They have been drawn together on the basis of experience they can bring to the development of enterprise policy.

The forum will meet around four times a year, with a flexible schedule according to the material to be discussed. The first meeting is expected to take place early in the new year.

“The forum is part of the Government's agenda to engage with business people to hear their views on unleashing enterprise and encouraging entrepreneurship as an alternative career,” says Dawn. “I am thrilled to be part of a such a powerful team with such an important agenda.”.

Vince Cable adds, "The forum I am creating is to provide me with an informal and personal source on new business and enterprise policies.  I am delighted with the quality of the membership of my new forum and look forward to bouncing ideas off them and hearing their views."
