New Awards Launched to Support Women in Enterprise

Prowess, the UK’s lead women’s enterprise organisation, has launched a new range of Awards aimed at changing the face of enterprise and is calling for entries now. The Awards follow a Government announcement of a new Women’s Enterprise Task Force
The 2007 Prowess Awards celebrate the success of women in business and recognise those who are driving growth through mentoring, business support, advocacy or by acting as a role model and inspiring others. The Awards will also recognise the thinkers behind compelling press and research reports.
Dawn explains: " There are six main awards, each supported by a key sponsor that champions women’s enterprise in this area."
Leading women entrepreneurs have stepped up to support the Awards. Judges include; Sahar Hashemi, Café Republic founder; Dawn Gibbins, Flowcrete CEO; Sally Preston of Babylicious and Penny Newman of Café Direct.
The National Women’s Enterprise Task Force was launched by Margaret Hodge MP, Minister of State for Industry and the Regions.
