Businesswoman of the Year Woman in a ‘man’s world’ takes title

Dawn Gibbins, founder and chairwoman of Flowcrete, the Cheshire-based manufacturer of specialist flooring, has been named Veuve Clicquot Businesswoman of the Year.  The 44-year-old mother of two was selected by the judges for her innovative, entrepreneurial approach to a traditionally male area of industry.  Flowcrete, created in 1982, has a turnover of £25 million and offices in 20 countries, Gibbons said “I;m absolutely thrilled.  This is fantastic news and a tremendous honour”.  Previous winners include Anita Roddick of Body Shop and Go’s Barbara Cassani
